What we do
We are dedicated to helping nonprofit Christian organizations raise funds. One method is to enable people who shop online to support nonprofit organizations through their purchases. A percentage of all purchases is donated automatically to nonprofit organizations designated by purchasers, at no cost to themselves or the nonprofit organizations.
What does it cost to participate?
Absolutely nothing. Neither nonprofit organizations nor their supporters are charged anything for this service.
How does the service work?
When people shop through our network of retailers, we are paid a commission. We pass through the listed commission to the nonprofit organization they designate. Outside the listed percentages, we retain a smaller portion (typically 1/5) of retailer commissions to fund our development and operation. For example, we donate 4% and retain 1% of the total 5% commission received from itunes.com.
What are the requirements?
- Sign up. It’s free and easy! We’ll create a page dedicated to your organization on our website.
- Use the promotional materials and ideas we provide in order to spread the word among your supporters, and ask them to tell their family and friends. (If your organization has a website, your webmaster creates a page for the code we'll provide.)
- When anyone visits your web page and clicks through to a participating company and makes a purchase, your ministry earns a percentage of that purchase.
- Deposit a quarterly check.
What if my organization does not have a website?
No problem. We will provide you with a page on our website, and the resources for advertising this opportunity to your church's congregation, or your school's families.
Should shoppers come back to iRedirect every time they shop online?
Absolutely! Only purchases initiated from the iRedirect website earn donations. Shoppers should bookmark our website and remember to come back. Every purchase makes a difference!
Are shoppers buying from iRedirect or the retailers?
Shoppers are buying directly from our retailer partners. Our retailers handle payment, shipping, returns and any other service.
Is shopping through this service secure?
Yes! Our retailers have strict security measures in place to ensure that transactions are safe and customer information is secure.
Are my supporters paying the same price when they shop through this service?
Shopping through this service will never cost your supporters more than they would pay if they shopped with our retailers directly. In fact, shopping here will often save your supporters money through exclusive coupon codes and deals gathered just for our members. And they enjoy the same level of service from our retail partners.
Does iRedirect respect shoppers’ privacy?
Yes! We will never share or sell any confidential information. Please review our Privacy Policy for more detail.
When will my organization receive payment?
We mail out checks quarterly, along with a detailed report, approximately 60 days after the end of each quarter. The delay is required to clear purchases and payments from our retail partners. There is a minimum of $25 for each check. Donations totaling less than $25 will roll over to the next quarter and so on until $25 is reached.
Do my supporters get a tax deduction?
No. The IRS limits tax deductibility for donations to the amount paid over and above the fair market price for an item. Since the prices your supporters pay when buying from our retailer partners through our site are the same as if they purchased directly from the merchant, no tax-deductible event occurs. But they are helping your nonprofit organization with just a few clicks, for free.
